Joe Wright addresses the culture of our times through BLAPOP Records, Black-Latin-Asian music label he founded, which includes his own worship ensemble,         Joe Jr. & Friends. In some circles, their Sunday morning sounds may seem like           Saturday night sambas--and they should. As did many beloved hymn-writers, BLAPOP co-opts popular musical genres to attract listeners....then hooks them with                     Christ-centered lyrics....including "church" music.
